Statement of Privacy

It is the policy of the West Hills Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Web site,

www.whuuf.net (WHUUF) to handle congregational information with great care

and respect. Information www.whuuf.net collects includes, but is not limited to,

anonymous demographic information about your computer hardware and software.

This information may include: your IP address, browser type, domain names,

access times and referring Web site addresses. This information is used by

WHUUF for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to

provide general statistics regarding use of the WHUUF Web site.

NOTE: WHUUF encourages you to review the privacy statements of Web sites

you choose to link to from WHUUF so that you can understand how those Web

sites collect, use and share your information. WHUUF is not responsible for the

privacy statements or other content on Web sites outside of the WHUUF web site.
 

USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
 

WHUUF collects and uses your personal information to operate the WHUUF Web

site. WHUUF may also use your personally identifiable information to inform you

of other events or services available from WHUUF in the form of a weekly

enewsletter or other electronic or written correspondence which you have chosen

to receive. WHUUF does not sell, rent or lease its member lists to third parties.

WHUUF has identified specific groups of people that might be listed or referred to

including: staff, board members, committee chairs, adult members and youth. To

protect the privacy of these members we have instituted the following procedures:

1. The CONTACT US page: we have installed a drop down window that allows

web visitors to select, by title or function, the person they wish to contact. Neither

names nor email addresses of recipients are displayed at any time. The titles and

functions include in the drop down menu include:

Art Gallery

Eblast

General information

Office

Religious education

Rental coordinator

Volunteer coordinator

Web site
 

2. Committee heads and adult members will be listed by name on pages only

visible to members who have logged on. For those requiring an email contact, their

names will be used to link to their email address. Personal email addresses of staff

or members will never be displayed on the website in an effort to eliminate spam

on either the public pages or the more secure members-only section.
 

3. Youth and Children will not be identified in content or photo captions. Photos

will be shown only with written permission of their parents or guardians.
 

4. Directory: WHUUF makes a printed directory available to all members and

friends once a year. Copies may be requested through the WHUUF office. A

directory will not be published online.
 

5. Photos of WHUUF member events will be posted on the appropriate pages.

see a photo of yourself or your family that you do no wish to be made available to

the web site please notify the webmaster to have it removed.
 

USE OF COOKIES
 

The WHUUF Web site uses "cookies" to help you personalize your online
