Elizabeth Smith - Volunteer Coordinator  

• Volunteer Coordinator/Congregational Administrator
  12/hours per week

  • Ensures Sunday services run smoothly. Responsible for training and scheduling of moderators, openers and closers on a monthly basis. Ensures that the weekly Sunday service support slots are filled. Be available to attend Sunday services as a resource to visitors, members and friends.

  • Reviews WHUUF Communications (e-blast, newsletter, mailings) to verify dates and accuracy of important information.

  • Responds and follows up to requests for volunteer assistance. Developing a comprehensive “skills bank” to track volunteer interests.

  • Supervises Office Manager to ensure all office duties are completed in a timely and accurate manner. 

  • Assists committees in scheduling and staffing by serving as a central clearinghouse. Attends meetings with the membership, hospitality and Sunday Service committees. Keeps track of deadlines, training events or other activities as needed. Prepares reports and recommendations to the Board.

  • Works cooperatively and positively in a caring and collaborative relationship with other Fellowship staff.

  Rebecca Gammons - Lifespan Learning Director
   

  I was born in Conn., where I attended college and taught elementary special education. Moving west at age 26, I came to Oregon via California. I am divorced, and have 5 adult children. Two of them currently live with me, along with two Yorkie/Maltese dogs. I’ve been a Unitarian Universalist about 25 years, a religious educator for most of those, and WHUUF’s director of religious growth and learning for 15 years, the last two lifespan. Sparetime finds me gardening, cooking, walking, reading and crafting (mostly scrapbooking) .
